About Martin
Brought up a stones-throw from Suffolk's beautiful heritage coast, Martin has spent close to two decades in recruitment, holding various director-level positions within agencies ranging from start-ups to those exceeding £100m in revenue. He possesses a comprehensive understanding of recruitment methods and the shortcomings of traditional agencies - and why you may avoid them.
This prompted the establishing of Martin Salter & Co not only to provide support that is financially accessible to smaller businesses and private employers, but to champion recruitment as a professional service built upon enduring relationships
Martin lives close to Aldeburgh, Suffolk, with his wife and some of their five children and two grandchildren – the ones yet to fly the nest!
He covers his native East Suffolk as well as Mid Suffolk, Babergh, North East Essex, North Norfolk, South Norfolk, Broadland, and the City of Norwich.
About Matthew
Suffolk born and bred and with strong family ties to Cambridgeshire, Matthew brings over two decades of experience leading teams, driving growth, and delivering business transformation across some of the UK’s most respected organisations, including Adnams, Nedging Hall Estate, The Ivy Collection, and Fortnum & Mason.
Having hired, developed, and mentored professionals at all levels, he understands first-hand the impact the right people have on culture, performance, and long-term success. This experience shapes his approach to recruitment — thoughtful, relationship-led, and focused on lasting outcomes.
Alongside his commercial work, he is an Honorary Industry Fellow at the University of East London, supporting future leaders and strengthening the link between education and industry.
Matthew provides support to West Suffolk, North West Essex, West Norfolk, Breckland, South & East Cambridgeshire, and the City of Cambridge.
