The job
As Estate Grounds & Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the estates buildings, grounds, vehicles, and machinery. As a luxury venue, it is imperative that the grounds remain immaculate and you will work with your team of one full time and one part time (one grounds, one maintenance) to ensure that this remains the case. You will be used to adapting to issues as they arise, making sure they do not effect the smooth running of the business, offering a calm problem-solving attitude to your role. You'll be hands-on with the support of your team, applying the practical skills you have acquired over the years. The job comes with a 3-bedroom cottage on the estate.
What you'll need
Experience in managing and maintaining a private estate or rural hospitality venue
Strong knowledge of both grounds and building maintenance
High attention to detail and quality-focused approach
Experience of using agricultural equipment and vehicles
Basic plumbing and electrical skills
Knowledge of air source pumps and advantage
Chainsaw ticket, PA1/PA6 etc desirable
Full UK driving licence and transport, due to location
Where you'll be based
The estate is based in Easton, close to Framlingham, Suffolk
What you'll receive
- £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependent on experience
- Accommodation in the form of a 3-bed cottage on the estate, bills to be paid by employee
- Full time employment, working 5 days per week over 7 as the business requires
- 28 days annual leave
