The job
As Foreman you will oversee and help to manage both the engineering workshop and the on-farm contracting operation. You will understand the core values of a family business, such as service and high standards of work whilst successfully meeting deadlines. You'll be an effective communicator and leader in order to get the best from staff and ensure that high levels of standard in both manufacture and finish are maintained.
You'll liaise with management and staff in order to achieve and deliver to both daily and long term deadlines and help manage stock levels for workshop consumables and major bought in components.

What you'll need
Experience welder/fabricator
An in-depth practical knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, such as measuring, marking out, MIG and TIG welding
Experience of workshop tools such as a lathe, mill, guillotine, and brake press.
Ideally an understanding of on farm agricultural tasks and practices.
Proactive work ethic and problem-solving mindset
Excellent team player within a small, close-knit business
Work well under pressure
A full UK driving licence
Where you'll be based
The yard is based near Saxmundham, Suffolk, with harvest time work across East Anglia
What you'll receive
- £18.00 - £22.00 per hour dependent on experience
- Working week of Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:30pm (42.5 hours) with overtime available
- Harvest time (August-October) working additional overtime hours
- Employed role on a permanent contract
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
